Job Title: Powder Division Operations Supervisor

Reports to: Process Development and Powder Division Manager

The Powder Division Operations Supervisor oversees Powder Division’s operations including production, sanitation, QA, maintenance, shipping, inventory, and coordination with sales.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and control daily, weekly and monthly schedules of a minimum of 6 people to meet production/grinding/blending/sanitation/shipping needs.
Ensure compliance with all aspects of food safety and preventive control programs, including HACCP, GMP, environmental monitoring, sanitation program, traceability, pest control, and food defense.
Supports adherence to and documentation for PrimusGFS food safety audit protocols and CCOF Organic certification program.
Document and maintain electronic files of personnel records, such as doctors’ notes, disciplinary warnings, accident reports, chemical logs, and other records.
Oversee maintenance of work orders, inventory systems, and equipment history.
Utilizes the JDE Supply Chain program in support of Powder operations.
Manages and prepares shipping documentation for all sales activities, including a packing list, COA, NAFTA, COO, organic export certificate, commercial invoice, FEDEX/UPS labels, and BOL
Oversees, coordinates, and documents daily sanitation practices for powder facility and all production equipment.
Maintains chemical inventories, usage logs, concentration logs, and master sanitation logs, and associated documentation.
Maintains records and inventory of packaging supplies and establishes lists of approved vendors with item codes and costs.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Generates reports for employee productivity, production efficiency, and monthly accounting reports.
Train personnel including new employees’ initial training, position assignment training, safety training, HACCP/GMP training, plant security training, and other related QA/OSHA/IFC/PrimusGFS/training.
Maintains files of all HACCP, GMP, BOL’s, maintenance records, and all other production and QA documentation.
Manage and coordinate monthly physical count and annual inventory.
Assists R&D, Product, and Process Development teams with ongoing research with scheduling, documenting, and coordinating test runs.
Direct Reports: Powder Division leads and powder operators
In addition to managing current direct reports; this position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management within that department.
Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training direct reports.
Is responsible for reviewing performance and administers corrective action.
Plans the work schedules, assigns duties, tracks absenteeism and reviews work to ensure quality standards.
Responsible for monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance.
Observes and practices safety and housekeeping procedures at all times.

Education and Work Experience:
BS or BA degree in Manufacturing, Production or related field
A minimum of 2 years of Supervisory experience that includes QA and food safety
Familiar with HACCP, GMP, OSHA, requirements
Basic knowledge of Excel and Word
Experience in production and/or manufacturing environments
The ability to transfer, style, tone, and culture elements accurately from one language to another.
Primarily works in a general office environment, however, this position is required to actively supervise receiving, production, dehydration, grinding, blending, sifting, packaging, shipping, and sanitation operations and areas, thus may be exposed to extreme cold, heat, wet, dusty and outdoor weather conditions.
