Overview
Reporting to the Clinical Director, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist/Clinical Social Worker or
LMFT/LCSW provides individual and group counseling to victims and survivors of sexual assault, human
trafficking and child abuse and their significant others.
The Associate Marriage and Family Therapist/Associate Social Worker or LMFT/LCSW conveys empathy,
respect, and compassion during therapy sessions and in any interactions with clients and the public. The
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist/Associate Social Worker or LMFT/LCSW is a member of a
high-performing team that supports survivors and significant others through case coordination, case
management, Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) response, survivor accompaniment to court and law
enforcement interviews and legal advocacy, and individual and group therapy. The Associate Marriage and
Family Therapist/Associate Social Worker or LMFT/LCSW must effectively communicate survivor needs and/or
any requests by community partners to the Crisis Intervention Team.
The Associate Marriage and Family Therapist/Associatel Social Worker or LMFT/LCSW must respond effectively,
timely, calmly, and with empathy and compassion to survivors of sexual violence and significant others in
therapy sessions and ongoing case management in close partnership with the Crisis Intervention Team.
