Responsible for delivering building materials in the correct quantity and to the proper location; responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction regarding on-time delivery and job site service; drive a flat-bed truck, dump truck and operate a piggyback forklift on the job site; ensure that equipment is in proper operating condition on the road and at the job site. Assist customers with product selection and loading. Receive and unload incoming products. Operate forklifts and Loaders to load and receive materials. Assist with yard and warehouse layout to maximize space and increase efficiencies. Maintain proper amounts of inventory to service customer needs, manage inventory losses through regular inventory cycle counting and controls. Work in alignment with Graniterock Safe Work Practices, Core Purpose, Values, and Objectives, and support “One Company” principles.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.
SKILLS: Class B driver’s license required. Must be customer service oriented, a team player and have good communication skills.
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years forklift driving experience and building material related experience.
EDUCATION: Forklift certification.
SKILLS: Knowledge of the local area and local contractors. Class A license desirable.
EXPERIENCE: In-depth knowledge of building materials and their uses
OTHER COMMENTS: Must have valid CA Driver’s License and clean driving record. Work is covered under a contract with the Teamsters Local 912.
