JOB SUMMARY

The Workday Financial Systems Specialist is responsible for maintaining Apria’s Workday financial systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key member of the Finance management team, playing a significant role in the implementation, evaluation, monitoring, and maintenance of Workday ERP system related to the Finance department.
Maintains routine updates to configurations in the Workday financial systems.  Manages biannual Workday system update projects, working with Finance management to implement related changes to workstreams.
Manages configuration set-ups in the Workday system.
Works closely with decision makers across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective Workday designs and solutions that impact the Finance department.
Lead, drive and refine Workday systems where needed to support existing and new reporting requirements while maintaining reporting continuity with minimal disruptions.
Project manage Workday initiatives (including Workday upgrades), arrange for assistance required from other IT/business groups, follow up and create/monitor test plans to achieve the goals.
Interact with all levels of the Finance department as part of the effort to understand and/or resolve system related issues in the Workday environment.
Act as liaison between the Finance department, the Data Analytics department and various IT teams.
Develop and maintain high level of knowledge of Workday financial modules, accounting transactions and accounting flows as necessary to understand the impacts to financial reporting.
Develop and maintain proficiency in using the Workday development tools and report-writing tools utilized by the core accounting systems.
Coordinate with Internal Audit Department to ensure documentation and maintenance of internal controls.  Assist with completion of audit requests from external auditors.
Supports end-users and provides assistance and training as needed.
Undertake and manage special projects and other reporting needs as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

Four-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Finance or Accounting Background is required.
Two years of Workday-related experience is required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations

Workday, MS Excel, Word and Access.

Language Skills

English (reading, writing, verbal).

Mathematical Skills

Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

JDE and TM1 preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
