Want to develop digital marketing skills and are eager to learn about social media while developing professional connections with local employers? For Young Adults, ages 18-24, the Monterey County Cadre’s Technology program will help you develop skills to create an effective social media presence.

Monterey County Small Businesses, you should have the opportunity to grow and contribute to our community. Monterey County Works helps businesses do this by connecting you to motivated interns who will take your social media and digital marketing presence to the next level! Partner with Monterey County Works to hire a digital marketing intern!

Program Applicants

What’s in it for you? 

• Earn $18 per hour!
• Training on digital marketing, social media, and professional skills.
• Learning skills that allow access to tech jobs, which tend to pay well.
• Access to a mentor.

• An opportunity to learn new skills, including learning how to create an effective resume, creating a LinkedIn profile, and practicing key networking and interviewing strategies.

Small Businesses

What’s in it for you? 

• A part-time marketing intern vetted and trained by Monterey County Works in digital marketing, communication, and leadership skills, assigned to help enhance your business’s marketing efforts through digital media.
• Wages for your intern are paid by the Monterey County Workforce Development Board.
• The opportunity to contribute to talent growth and business development.
• Small businesses with 20 or fewer employees will have priority.
