Executive Administrative Assistant

Our school seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant to begin working in June 2021.

The Administrative Assistant reports to the Head of School and supports the leadership by performing administrative and operational tasks to maintain the smooth operation of the Head of School’s office. This position requires interaction with the internal and external school community in a manner that supports the welcoming presence of the office.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Assist the Head of School in the ongoing life of school
Manage calendars
Foster a strong and effective partnership between employees
Organize and execute plans for employee meetings, gatherings, and ceremonies
Manage employment confidential documents
Database management
Support the Board of Trustees
A minimum of 5 years in an executive administrative role
Experience in the cycle of the academic industry is preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite
Professional communication skills and congeniality: verbal, written, in person, and video
Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple tasks, ability to meet deadlines
Proficient in the operation of general office equipment
The Administrative Assistant must possess exceptionally strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to follow-through in a timely manner, and the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. The person in this position takes pride in their work, is able to prioritize tasks, and is a self-starter who anticipates next steps. The ability to gain and maintain the trust of the Head’s Leadership Team, the Board Chair, and a variety of staff and faculty members is key.

The Administrative Assistant is a model of integrity and professionalism and adheres to strict confidentiality in all matters, handling information with sensitivity and discretion. The person in this position is expected to be a model to all employees, embodying the mission and values of the school and its leadership.
