Administrative Assistant – Procurement Department

Position Summary:

PRO*ACT is looking for an energetic individual to join our Procurement team! As an Administrative Assistant you will assist the Procurement Team in the execution of their objectives. As the department Admin, you will find yourself collaborating with appropriate team members in the performance of all assigned tasks. You will create contract RFPs (requests for proposals), work with Food Safety and Accounting departments on the addition of new suppliers, assist with daily contract pricing, coordinate contract commitments and communicate to the internal teams, distributors, and suppliers, coordinate and manage the new supplier approval process to ensure timely implementation, maintain an efficient, accessible filing system (electronic and hard copy), maintain and update all necessary supplier documents (e.g. annual certificates of insurance), produce reports (purchasing, contract comparison, etc.) as necessary, and perform other duties, as assigned. Experience/Education/Skill Set:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
2+ years’ experience in an administrative role required.
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Strong team player with the ability to flex as needed required.
Ability to Multi-task while still paying attention to detail required.
Ability to take direction and execute timely required.
Strong customer service both internally and externally required.
Ability to display a fun and positive attitude to all employees across the organization.
