Clerical and Administrative
The Manufacturing Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting our Fabrication and Assembly managers in several key administrative/clerical functions including monitoring programs, printing out drawings, forms, and lists, and preparing project related details needed by the managers to improve and maintain manufacturing processes flow goals, and expectations on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Based on the production schedule, provide managers with drawings, and purchase updates of required details for each day’s/ week’s assignments based on project job number and system.
Organize and gather production releases.
Assist in the development and documentation of work plans and other related processes.
Conduct time studies and analyze information for recommended improvements and efficiencies.
Help monitor the Pallet Program to ensure that all items have been scanned as they are prepared for the final assembly.
Identify missing and unscanned items prior to assembly and crating.
Gather and maintain log/ details of daily and weekly discrepancies to be shared in weekly engineering meetings which include design errors, purchase parts shortages, and production flow improvements requested.
Monitor Kronos employee email alerts of employee attendance infractions, missed punches, and requests for time off and present those to managers daily for approval/denial and review.
Monitor attendance “points” system and summarize infractions to then present those to managers.
Help managers with monthly employee Performance Evaluation documentation. Assist and follow up with the mangers as to anniversary dates, upcoming reviews, and those overdue.
Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.

Work is performed in an office and an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel or crouch; and talk and hear. The ability to lift and carry 25lbs on a regular basis is required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILL / ABILITY / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Associates Degree in Industrial Manufacturing/ Production or Administrative field is strongly preferred.
General Industrial Manufacturing background and/ or experience is preferred.
Three (3) to five (5) years of scheduling experience in industrial manufacturing is a plus.
Must be capable of working independently, and with little guidance, on responsibilities outlined once successfully completing training and onboarding.
Ability to read and interpret product and installation drawings.
Computer skills and in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required. Advanced Excel skills are required. Must be capable of learning additional software as needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
Knowledge of line control methodology, conveyor control, and other related manufacturing plant support systems is preferred.
Must be able to effectively communicate, interact, and build relationships with manufacturing leads, supervisors, engineering designers, and project managers.
Excellent communication skills; both oral and written are required.
Exceptional attention to detail.

Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills.
Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
