The Position
The Pulp Mill Storeroom has an opening for a Storeroom Clerk. We are looking for a self-starter that wants to make a long-term commitment to the Storeroom. The successful candidate will be able to flow to work when needed, accommodate new initiatives, and take on new and changing responsibilities in Stores.
This is an hourly full-time dayshift position – Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Limited OT and scheduling flexibility is expected to meet business needs. The position will report to the Stores Supervisor
Key Functions
The role is responsible for performing core Storeroom activities, which include picking and putting away parts, deliveries, inventory counts, kitting of Shutdown and daily work orders, shipping & receiving, maintain a clean & organized storeroom, as well as other duties as required.
Key Accountabilities
Safety
Participate in the safety, health, and environmental activities in accordance with standards established by the Grande Prairie Mill.
Storeroom Activities
Picking parts and staging for outages
Putting away parts and conducting deliveries
Conducting inventory counts
Shipping & Receiving
Counter
Doing warehouse cleanup, organizing, and recycling
Other duties as assigned
Work Systems Improvements
Contribute to the development, improvement, and maintenance of technical standards, work instructions and procedures, identifying and implementing changes as necessary.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
High school diploma, GED
Demonstrated safety leadership
Advanced skills using a computer for record-keeping and documentation
Ability to communicate effectively and constructively, as well as good verbal and written English skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Comprehension of work instructions and documentation as well as the ability to perform duties with little direction
A proactive approach to troubleshooting/problem identification
Able to perform physically demanding work
Willing and able to work overtime
Operate fork truck and overhead crane (we will provide training)
A valid class 5 license
Preferred qualifications include:
Journeyman parts technician or materials technician
Storeroom experience
SAP Experience
Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
