Receptionist Job at Norcal Harvesting, LLC – Salinas, CA


The Receptionist is responsible for providing outstanding service and excellent communication to all employees and guests at NorCal Harvesting LLC The Receptionist will manage all front office reception and administration duties, including greeting guests, answering multi-line phones, handling company inquiries, and sorting and distributing mail. This individual will maintain a clean and organized desk and office environment; and comply with COVID-19 preventative measures including sanitizing and cleaning of common surface areas in the reception area. This position is based in Salinas, California.


Includes, but not limited to, the following:

• Greet and welcome guests coming into the office and ensure COVID-19 preventative measures are adhered.

• Assist with guest inquiries and direct them to the appropriate department and/or personnel

• Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls

• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable; maintain a clean and organized desk and office environment.

• Receive and sort deliveries; assist with large mailings as needed.

• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. • Assemble new and re-hire employee application packets.

• Complete employee intake forms for walk-in registrations.

• Record an maintain records of daily new and re-hires.

• Maintain issuance of employee ID numbers.

• Sort, assemble and collate weekly checks by field crews.

• Perform a variety of record keeping/copying/filing functions and administrative tasks.

• Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.

• Assist HR Generalist with special projects as assigned.

• High school degree or GED, or specialized training in Office Administration

• Experience in a similar work environment with strong organizational skills and administrative support experience.

• Must be bilingual and biliterate in English and Spanish.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; and a high level of customer service and professionalism. REV 10/05/20

• Ability to work collaboratively and independently on special projects with minimal instruction.

• Computer proficient required – MS Suite, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour Schedule:

• 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
