Monterey Peninsula Country Club caters to a diverse Membership of more than 1,100 Members. Dining is provided daily in five outlets amongst the Club House, Golf House and two 18 hole golf courses. We average more than 600 banquet events annually with food and beverage revenues of $5.8 million from both a la carte and banquet dining.

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for assisting with daily front of house (FOH) dining services throughout the Clubhouse, achieving the highest level of Member satisfaction while meeting or exceeding financial goals. S/he organizes, leads, and develops a team that delivers prompt, accurate and personalized food and beverage service; always putting forward the effort to exceed our Members expectations and anticipate their needs.

Greet Members and guests in all areas of the Club.
Ensure the wants and needs of Members and guests are consistently exceeded.
Remain highly visible during lunch and dinner service hours.
Establish high standards of service and implement training procedures to ensure excellent service.
Lead daily preshift meetings following established procedures.
Perform as Manager on Duty, as assigned, and follow established MOD guidelines.
Perform as Closing Manager on Duty, as assigned, ensuring that all a la carte and banquet set up is complete for the following day.
Assist with the hiring process, training, supervising and reviewing of subordinates.
Qualifications
What we will need from you:

Minimum of two years prior management experience in a high volume club, hotel, or resort and proficient in managing fine dining, casual dining, and banquet events.
Degree in Hospitality/Business and/or equivalent experience.
Strong knowledge of F&B Service Fundamentals and well versed in proper service, etiquette, and procedures for a al carte and banquet service.
Level One Sommelier Certification highly desirable.
Customer service oriented, team player, sharp attention to detail, and self-motivated with a true passion for food and beverage.
Exceptional leadership/management skills with a proven ability to motivate and inspire subordinates & peers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including proper email etiquette.
