Salary Range: Education Based/ Experience

Position Summary:

Teachers are responsible for assisting the Director in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social emotional and physical development of each child in our program. Program responsibilities will include working as a member of a teaching team.

State Licensing:

Abeka Curriculum Lesson

Weekly Bible Lessons

Policies of Little Friends Preschool

Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the Director in developing and maintaining children’s indoor and outdoor environments that are nurturing, secure, and safe.

Encourage play, exploration.

Promote problem solving, learning and growth in all developmental areas.

Support the planning and implementing of Abeka curriculum for young children that is age appropriate.

Promote Self-help skills, Problem Solving Skills, Critical Thinking Skills, Fine Motor Skills, Pre- Literacy and Math Skills.

Plan and implement a daily program of activities which are based in the principles of The Bible and Christ’s Teachings.

Maintain children’s portfolios and track the progress of each child and develop written plans to promote each child’s growth and development.

Communicate with families about the progress and needs of their children through progress reports, newsletters and conferences.

Conduct parent teacher conferences twice a year (November and March)
