Position Summary
Under the direction of the Customer Service Supervisor, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for assisting customers in all phases of their business transactions. This position will assist in processing orders, answering customer questions, and act as a liaison with all other departments.
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience required: Entry level, some customer service experience preferred
Skills Required: Computer literate, knowledge of Excel, basic office equipment, strong communication skills, problem-solving skills,
Bilingual is a plus
Responsibilities
Receive, process, and monitor customers’ purchase orders
Provide information and updates regarding order status to customers and/or other departments
Investigate and resolve production status issues
Address shipping and scheduling issues
Proactively communicate with customer regarding changes in product availability or delivery schedules
Provide complaint resolution in a timely and professional manner
Direct customer related issues beyond control to the correct individual(s)
Daily invoicing of shipments
Research past customer history
Communicate customers’ service needs to other departments and follow-through to completion, ensuring excellent customer service
Monitor outstanding shipping report – will calls and company trucks
Communicate with customers via phone, fax or e-mail
React to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor
Physical Requirements/Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use their hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.
The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
