Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. As a Carpenter/Laborer, you will be responsible for various construction and installation tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical work, masonry sheetrock, tile, carpentry and fixture installation. This is a physically demanding role that requires heavy lifting and the ability to work with various tools and materials.
Responsibilities:
– Assemble and install structures, fixtures, cabinets, and furniture
– Measure, cut, shape, and smooth materials using hand or power tools
– Install electrical wiring and fixtures
– Perform masonry work such as bricklaying or tile setting
– Install and finish Sheetrock
– Various painting projects
– Assist with the construction of foundations, walls, roofs, and other structural elements
– Follow blueprints, building codes, and safety regulations
– Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
Skills:
– Proficient in carpentry techniques and construction methods
– Strong knowledge of electrical systems and wiring
– Experience with masonry work including bricklaying and tile setting
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
– Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues on the job site
– Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements and cuts
– Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
– Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and manual labor
