I-HELP Driver Job Description, revised 2/22/23
Compensation: Starting salary $17.00/hr. Employment type: part-time
We are looking for an experienced van/small bus driver for part-time employment (approximately 20 hrs./wk.) with the Interfaith Homeless Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) to transport homeless men and women from a central Monterey pickup point to hosting churches around the Monterey Peninsula for a warm dinner and overnight shelter. Participants are returned to the pickup point the following morning.
Must have a current Class B license with passenger endorsement, clean driver’s record, and experience driving passengers.
Work is scheduled in separate 2-hour shifts: 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 4:00-6:00 p.m. Drivers are expected to work either the morning shift or the evening shift. Shifts may include weekdays and/or weekends, with exact schedule to be arranged.
Starting pay is $17.00/hr.; position to be filled as soon as possible.
