SALARY: MW I $34,933 – $44,598.38 DOQ
MW II $40,216.16 – $51,327.14 DOQ
BENEFITS: Benefits include annual sick leave, vacation leave, floating holidays, participation in a CalPERS pension/retirement plan, medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
SCHEDULE: 40 Hours Per Week on average, Monday-Thursday 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., every other Friday
This classification is part of a series. New hires may be appointed as either a MW I or MW II depending upon experience. Incumbents appointed at the lower level of the career series may be promoted up to the higher level of the career series subject to their meeting the employment standards for the higher class and a recommendation for their promotion by the appointing authority.
The Eligible List established by this recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies on a regular fulltime, part-time, or temporary basis.

Salary: $34,933 – $51,327 annually depending on qualifications
DEFINITION
Under general supervision, the primary responsibility of this classification is to perform a variety of maintenance duties essential to the operation of the Public Works Department. Inspects, operates, monitors, and maintains a variety of facilities, equipment and systems involved with public infrastructure such as parks, public buildings, and roads. In addition, learns to perform and performs the full array of duties assigned to classes in the Public Works Maintenance Worker series, including maintenance and construction work in one or more Public Works operations; demonstrates a full understanding of all applicable policies, procedures and work methods associated with assigned duties; and performs other related duties as assigned.
