Overview:
The Event Security Officer provides on-site security services for clients. All duties must be performed in accordance with client and company policies and standard operating procedures, following all state and federal regulations. Our team is looking for individuals who are dependable, optimistic, problem solvers who lead by example.
Overview of Duties and Responsibilities
Full-time and part-time positions
Provide security services at sites located in and around Monterey County, CA
Serve as a visible security presence at client locations
Work Special assignments and events as necessary
Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols
Utilization of tour tracking software in the performance of daily duties
Prepare accurate and detailed incident reports, as needed
Collaboration with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
Maintain visitor, employee, and maintenance access logs
Provide customer service driven, professional security services
Maintain a professional appearance
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent with a 1 year minimum of verifiable experience
Must provide or complete the 32 hours of certified continuing education as required by the Bureau of security and Investigative services in the first 60 days of employment.
Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Be able to work alone or in a team setting
Having reliable transportation and willing to travel over 50 miles on occasion
Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
Able to:
Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds
Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift.
Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
