The marketing specialist reports to the VP of Marketing and collaborates with the marketing managers and Apria leadership to develop, plan, execute and optimize Apria marketing strategy. The marketing specialist also manages targeted content for digital platforms including website and social media. The marketing specialist works across all of Apria’s products, including sleep, respiratory, noninvasive ventilation, wound therapy and diabetes.


Work closely with the marketing team to plan, build, and grow Apria’s brand strategy.
Execute on marketing strategy and report on KPI’s.
Work with marketing vendors to produce creative, innovative marketing collateral.
Write targeted content for website, sales collateral, and other channels as needed.
Create and manage content for social media channel.
Market Research – execute on market research plans including vendor selection, discussion guide creation, interview note taking.
Synthesize interview data and collate findings from market research.
Regularly scan the market for competitor strategies and new developments and communicate them to the team.
Keep current with industry trends and compelling marketing campaigns.
Organize, prioritize, and complete a variety of project management tasks daily with minimal supervision, including:
Respond to requests to collateral from across Apria
Coordinate the development of marketing deliverables with relevant collaborators
Track task management across multiple workstreams
Arrange project and status meetings
Web page oversight, ensuring it is kept current with approved content and collateral
Work with agency and other vendors to communicate creative vision
Relay creative concepts / content-in-development to the marketing team
Champion company brand identity across all developed materials and act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects.
Perform other duties or special projects as requested.


Minimum Required Qualifications



Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree with focus on marketing, communications, or equivalent work experience
3+ years’ experience in marketing
Digital marketing experience preferred (email campaigns, social media, website campaigns)
Experience marketing in scientific or healthcare field preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Professional Designations


Proven ability to communicate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and other functions
Innovative thinking and familiarity with emerging media and technologies
The ability to manage workloads and prioritize requests to meet deadlines
Creative problem solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently and with minimum direction
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Compassionate, accountable, respectful, and strives for excellence
Curious and a quick learner
Computer Skills

MS Office skills- Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Language Skills

English (reading, writing, verbal)
Mathematical Skills

College level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.

This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
