The Business Rule Analyst is responsible for working with Managed Care leadership in defining, writing, testing, and executing operational decisions maintained separately from application code. This role will help to ensure decision consistency with far less dependency on an individual user’s interpretation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design rule configuration and customization to meet the business process design and application requirements.
Analyze source document and/or request and develop or design new rule structures to support the required business processes.
Work with the business to assess current capabilities and identify both high-level and detailed requirements, where applicable.
Identify and define detailed product requirements.
Understand all influencing source system data elements that contribute to a rule’s response.
Assist in translating requirements into test conditions, testing execution and expected results for product, performance and user acceptance testing.
Serve as liaison to the business community and help maintain the business community’s perspective.
Act as resource to help evaluate training and awareness of business rule options and performance support needs
Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Required Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and/or Experience
Education or experience equivalent to a four-year college degree is required.
Managed Healthcare payment “risk” and Revenue Management understanding experience required.
Familiarity with capitation and influences in frequent changes to health plan membership.
3-6 years related experience is required.

Intermediate skills in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Word
English (reading, writing, verbal)
Intermediate level mathematical proficiency, with a strong ability to understand, interpret and develop spreadsheet data.
This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. It also may require occasional lifting, carrying, walking, climbing, kneeling, bending/stooping, twisting, pulling/pushing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching above the shoulder. This position also may require the occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 lbs.
