The Monterey County Workforce Development Board (WDB) oversees the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM located in Salinas, Marina, and Greenfield and maintains service agreements with local partners throughout Monterey County. Four of the WDB’s partners are the major stakeholders of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM delivery system and are co-located at the Salinas comprehensive Job Center. They include the Monterey County Department of Social Services (DSS) - California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKs) Employment Services (CWES), and Office for Employment Training (OET); Employment Development Department (EDD), and Department of Rehabilitation.

In addition to the three co-located partners of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM, a number of participating partner agencies also provide regular or occasional applicable career services at their affiliate office locations.

Together, these partners have improved the lives of over 5,000 individuals throughout Monterey County per year through the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM delivery system and affiliate locations.

AMERICA’S JOB CENTER OF CALIFORNIASM – MEMORANDUMS OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU):


Partner agreements in the form of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) have been implemented and signed by each of the America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM partners.

The MOUs were separated into two phases.

MOU Phase I – addresses the operations of the local America’s Job Center of CaliforniaSM delivery system, partner roles and responsibilities, and service coordination and collaboration between the partners.
